What to Know About Running Our 5K Race
We want you to feel confident coming into our 5k marathon in beautiful Fort Collins! Here are some helpful tips to keep in mind:
The 5k race starts at 7:00 am. Mandatory bus boarding is 6:00 am – 6:30 am at the Fort Collins Transportation Center at Laporte Avenue and Mason Street. Parking is available at the Civic Center Parking Garage on the Southeast corner of Mason and Laporte (281-299 Laporte Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80521).
Gear up for some high-altitude running to elevate your game! Starting at an impressive elevation of 5,045 feet, you’ll feel on top of the world. Just remember to acclimate yourself beforehand and stay hydrated — it’s key to your success!
The terrain on this course will have you running on both flat and slight downhill sections along the picturesque Poudre Trail. But fear not! We’ve got your back with tips on how to master downhill running. Plus, our friends at Colorado In Motion are ready to share expert advice on how to safely run downhill like a pro!
Our aid stations are here to be your heroes. Our fantastic volunteers will keep you energized and hydrated with water, Gatorade, Honey Stinger gels, and more. No need to worry, we also have medical support available in case of emergencies. We’ve got you covered!
