Meet the Colorado Marathon’s Race Directors

Our race directors are a dedicated group of passionate runners who have been putting on this unforgettable race for over two decades. They live and breathe the sport, and are committed to creating an unforgettable experience that challenges, inspires, and rewards each and every participant.

Colorado Marathon Race Director Logan Martin

Logan Martin,
Race Director

Colorado Marathon Co-Race Director since 2013, Logan has successfully worked with dozens of local, regional, and national brands to align them with the health and wellness mission of the Colorado Marathon.

Before acquiring the Colorado Marathon, Logan began his career at Runners Roost, where he developed a passion for event management. He was tasked with logistics for various expos, marathons, triathlons, and other road races.

Health, wellness, and competition drive Logan. He has competed in 14 marathons and six ultra-marathons. He has also competed in triathlons, including multiple Ironman competitions.

In 2017, Logan acquired the Platte River Half Marathon & Relay as his first expansion into the Denver Metro racing market.

Paul Sovik-Siemens,
Race Director

Colorado Marathon Co-Race Director since 2013, Paul Slovik-Siemens is charged with making sure that the races under the Colorado Marathon umbrella operate safely and profitably.

Paul has worked and volunteered at several Colorado running events, including the Colorado High School Cross Country State Meet, the Platte River Half Marathon & Relay, and the Denver Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon.

He has been actively involved in the running community for 25 years, running cross-country and track and field at both Hasting High School and St. Olaf College. Post-college, he has continued running 5ks and half-marathons.

In 2017, Paul teamed up again with Logan Martin, acquiring the Platte River Half Marathon & Relay.

Nate Hoopes, Race Director

As Colorado Marathon Race & Volunteer Coordinator, Nate oversees race logistics and leads the volunteer team that brings the event to life each year. His work ensures that runners, spectators, and the community enjoy a smooth and memorable race-day experience.

Before joining the Colorado Marathon team, Nate built a background in education and event coordination, developing strong skills in organization, leadership, and community engagement. These strengths naturally translated into his role in race management, where he thrives on teamwork and logistics.

Health, wellness, and adventure drive Nate. An endurance athlete, he has competed in multiple marathons, triathlons, and an Ironman. Originally from Michigan, he embraced Colorado’s outdoor lifestyle after relocating, and now enjoys skiing, biking, hiking, and camping with his family.

In addition to his work with the Colorado Marathon, Nate also serves as Race & Volunteer Coordinator for the Platte River Half Marathon, Relay & 5K, supporting the race’s continued growth in the Denver Metro running community.
